How are your first 30-60 minutes after waking up every morning?

For me the days when I wake up and decide to postpone the alarm for 5 more minutes of sleep, followed by taking my cell phone and immediately checking the emails or seeing what the world is like on Instagram, or simply engaging in negative thoughts or Worry about everything I have to do during the day and the stress of what is coming ... immediately determines my whole day ahead, such as my level of anxiety, followed by bad decisions regarding food and seeing obstacles instead of opportunities.

What you cultivate in your morning influences how you feel, act, and think for the rest of your day.

Growth is a process, how do we stay focused and keep doing what we are doing, committed to our growth without seeing any visible results yet, Or even a sign of improvement. 

It may sounds frustrating and discouraging. Many times you just think of quitting ( like I’ve thought of quitting many times before)  Specially in a culture driven by instant gratification. We want it all and we want it now.

None of us has being taught how to feel our emotions.  

We've being taught not to cry. To suck it up and smile, make it like everything is ok.

Today is all about  thinking positively. We are rejecting more than ever to feel whatever it is we are feeling. The discomfort, pain, sadness, fear, anxiety. We are disconnected to our inner guidance because we bury deep down every unpleasant emotions, in the hopes to make it like nothing happens.

Feel our feelings can be very uncomfortable, Unpleasant. So we reject them,lock them in and change our state to feel better quickly.

Life, like glasses has different lenses, , the lens we use is the way we see our world around us.

The moment we take responsibility, that everything in our life that happened so far, is a direct result of the way we approach it, the way we see it. Is about changing our perspective.

I know is scary to take such a big responsibility, and is easier to feel like victims of our circumstances, blaming others, the situations, the weather, irritating husband or wife, the horrible boss, the boring job, the government, etc.

Whether you want to accept it or not, we all have this power within ourselves. Taking responsibility means that you have decided to become a  conscious creator of your own life story.

Travel is the best form of disconnection and of exploration. Seeing new things, new cultures, new places, opening your eyes to different ways of living.

How you want your life to be in the practice today?

I’ve practised Ashtanga before, couple of years ago, and always done Mysore, and while I loved it, before, nobody introduced me completely to what the practice of Ashtanga actually meant and the reason of doing each posture and the discipline itself.
